The Must-Read Book Club

Amanda Rose Walsh: The book had popped up on my radar a few times - in social media feeds and some recommendations by friends. So since it kept coming into my view, I decided it was the universe's way of telling me I needed to read it and I am so glad I did!

YCNYC: Favorite quote?

ARW: “We’re not taught to look at what is going on and say, ‘Look what I have created in my life. Isn’t that interesting?’ Instead, we are taught to judge, lay blame, accuse, play victim, and seek revenge. Neither are we taught to think that our lives are directed by forces other than our own conscious mind—but, in truth, they are.”

YCNYC: What one person would you recommend this book to?

ARW: Anyone feeling stuck, repeating the same patterns, looking to make a big shift, wanting to find forgiveness or those ready to break the victim mentality and heal old wounds.

YCNYC: What moment or part resonates with you the most?

ARW: With pain and suffering comes the gift. It is a chance for us to reflect and see how we may have created our reality. And instead of judging, blaming or accusing, we can become responsible for our life and our choices. The key to healing is to view the situation differently - that at the soul level, we are getting precisely what we need in our lives for spiritual growth. How we judge what we get determines whether we experience life as joyful or painful.
