The Harry Potter Of Dressings

When cooking a meal seems like a daunting task this new year, I have the solution for you: salads.

You can toss anything in to a salad bowl and voila, you have a nutritious meal in 5 to 10 minutes. Loaded with nutritious and delicious fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, salad bowls are delicious, satisfying, and have unlimited possibilities.

For me, it’s all about the dressing. The salad dressing is like the Harry Potter potion to bring the salad you have tastefully designed all together. I recommend a homemade salad dressing, which trumps store-bought varieties.

This balsamic vinaigrette recipe is the best I have tried, and I’ve tried many. It’s delightful and supports you living and eating healthily.

Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly crushed black pepper, finely ground

1 large garlic clove, minced

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil.

Assembly:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend (using a blender will make this dressing thick).

  2. You can also hand-whisk the ingredients until emulsified.

  3. Store in a glass mason jar with a lid and refrigerate. Shake well before serving. Enjoy!
