Sarah Powers

Insight Yoga Training – Level II with Sarah Powers

at ISHTA Yoga

Yin yoga encourages holding floor poses for long periods to enhance the Chi or energy distribution through the fascia, organs, and bones. Restoring the flow of Chi within us has a direct impact on our psychological states, encouraging increased ease of being, a foundation for authentic meditation to occur. After we have established a clear understanding of how and why to practice Yin yoga, we can begin to look more closely at the pranic and mind training aspect available to us while in the poses, and as a separate seated practice.

In this course, we will explore various breath patterns and retentions, as well as the foundation methods of Buddhist Mindfulness.

This is a 5 day 30-hour Yoga Alliance registered training. Combined with Level I this is a 100YA hour training.

Prerequisite: We consider this a Level II training. We require that you have taken Level I – Insight Yoga Teacher Training Intensive Yin/Yang Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation training or another meridian based yin yoga training (approved by Sarah) and have started a basic Mindfulness practice prior to attending this one. Sarah will not be covering all the details about meridians in yin yoga during this training, and will focus on more specifics of Mindfulness practice. You can attend her level I training April 14–23 here at Ishta.
